Twigs and Leaves Organic Florida Native Plant Nursery
is a locally-owned business partnering with the Community Garden project to supply the native plants that we sell at the Saturday Morning Market.
Twigs and Leaves promotes a balanced Florida environment by building beautiful landscapes that are
drought resistant and preserve the fragile habitats of this unique sub-tropical ecosystem.
Sweetwater Organic Community Farm
Sweetwater Farm has been providing organic food to Tampa Bay residents for more than 20 years through their community supported agriculture (CSA) farm in which members pay up front for a share of weekly produce.
Sweetwater is helping Green Florida on soil, water and compost issues, as well as offering to contribute hundreds of organic vegetable seedlings
to the Bartlett Park Community Garden.
Mister Landscaper is a locally-owned landscaping equipment company which has provided the Bartlett Park Community Garden with drip irrigation equipment free of charge. The drip irrigation system we have been able to build with their help is the focus of an educational grant from the Southwest Florida Water Management District. (see below)
Southwest Florida Water Management District has awarded Green Florida a grant to do public education in the community about the benefits of drip irrigation. Coming soon, you'll see a permanent educational sign at the garden and flyers for distribution at all Green Florida outreach event thanks to their support.
